Creative Director: Ad Solutions

We’re looking for an all-star Creative Director (Ad Solutions) to step in and run a brand new, in-house creative studio for our client, a well-known and respected media company. They’re focused on developing innovative ad solutions for the brands and agencies that they partner with, and they need someone who’s got plenty of experience developing creative solutions for a broad range of clients.

Gun Profile
You’ve done your time in the media trenches, and have spent several years at one or more of the big names in pure-play digital media or (the digital side of) print media. You have an abiding passion for developing engaging advertising concepts and executing against them.  (We’re also open to meeting with talent with agency experience).

You love using creative advertising to tell stories and that enhance the brands you represent, and you’re at your best when the companies you work with value a great narrative. You’re definitely a digital wunderkind, but still have the chops to pull together great print/POP collateral when needed.

You are great at navigating large, complex, and highly matrixed organizations with ease. You know how to play nice with sales, marketing, and editorial, and you know the value of keeping them happy and on your side.

Nitty Gritty
Our client is building a new in-house studio dedicated to working with the Sales and Marketing teams to deliver innovative ideas for advertisers in both digital and print products. Think of it as the creative soul within the team.

As the Creative Director, you’re going to be the visual steward for a brand with a long and illustrious history.

It’ll be your job to build and manage a team of designers, a producer, and a front-end dev. You’ll have a seat at the table at client and agency briefings, and you’ll work with sales to develop innovative creative solutions for advertising/promotional efforts for advertising partners across all customer touch points including digital ad campaigns, marketing and sales materials, and event collateral.

Inside Skinny
This is a brand new team, and they need someone with proven creative vision to keep a steady hand on the helm. You’ll be in great company, because this is one of the biggest and most recognizable brands in New York.

Net-Net
If you’re an experienced Creative Director with a background in Big Media, this gig is a great step into the newest frontier in advertising.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law.

We have but one over-arching rule for comments: Do not add to the chaos of the universe.

  • This blog is devoted to developing a point of view around the Future of Work through the lens of the digital creative class. It offers some of the best career writing out there to help you get ahead as well as some brand new bloggers livin' the dream and tellin' it like it is. We encourage you to use the comments to drive conversations to the next level, bounce ideas off our bloggers, challenge them, and engage in dialogue with your fellow readers.
  • Disagreement is fine. If one of our bloggers gets your goat, say so, but elevate the conversation. Substantiate. Strive to teach. Your words might actually change someone's opinion. Don't just rant.
  • Sign your name. Anonymity makes you a wimp.
  • If you're just commenting to get your handle out there, please be clever about it. Or witty. We'll delete unimaginative self-promotion.
  • We'll also likely delete comments that are vulgar, inadvertently or maliciously off-topic, spammy, creepy or sloppy.
