A leading investment bank is looking for a polished and tech-savvy professional to be their next Event Planning Coordinator. You’ll provide support to clients needing assistance with their event and meeting registrations, as well as to analyze data and generate reports for the bank’s management. This is a long-term full-time freelance gig, and excellent performance could get you hired full-time by this prestigious institution.
As Event Planning Coordinator, the lion’s share of your job will be supporting the event planners in this group. You’ll be in charge of one of the most important aspects of event planning: managing the invite list. You’ll use your facility with Microsoft Access to manage and maintain an accurate invite list for each event. You’ll also walk clients though the online registration process, assist onsite during each event, perform reporting and administrative tasks, and more. The ultimate team player, you’re happy to pitch in wherever needed. And you’ll be needed a lot.
Hired Gun Profile
You’ll be dealing with the firm’s highly valued clients, so a friendly, helpful attitude, a professional phone manner, and endless patience are essential.
You’ve got a general knack with technology and stellar Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Access is mandatory, so be sure to tell us in the cover letter how you’ve used it, and when. You will be tested on your Office and Access skills, so the more specific you can be, the better.
You must be comfortable assisting clients over the phone in navigating the registration website, so prior experience as a customer support or help desk representative (or similar experience) is definitely a plus.
To succeed here you’ll need to be able to handle whatever comes your way with courtesy, patience, and a winning attitude.
A great gig for an early-career professional looking to take the next step up the event planning ladder.
