Human Resources Generalist With Strong Talent Acquisition & Retention

This lifestyle-centered PR and Communications agency seeks a spirited Human Resources Generalist with a background in talent acquisition (recruiting) and retention (training, performance measurement) who is ready to take a seat at the table and help the agency with its ambitious plans for expansion.  Fulltime hire is preferred, but the client is also open to people interested in a freelance/contract opportunity.

Gun Profile:

We’re looking for a talent champion who can help this mid-size PR agency continue to grow like gangbusters. Experience working with the C-suite on human capital strategy is essential.  Also key: experience in dealing with the unique needs of small and medium PR and branding agencies as a proactive and effective recruiter of publicists and social media and digital talent. The agency specializes in lifestyle, fashion, and beauty brands and is especially strong at working with brands that target women, so any experience working at similar shops would be golden.  We are also open to other HR generalists who have been growing everything from ad agencies to tech firms and crave a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Nitty Gritty:

This company has done a great job of hiring the best of the best.  Now they need not only to grow the organization, but also to retain the people they have — and that’s where you come in.  Reporting directly to the President and working with senior management, you will suss out the perfect candidates, sourcing them through social media and more traditional recruiting methods.  Just as important as finding the right talent is keeping what you’ve got:  the buck stops with you for implementing successful recruiting, interviewing, compensation, new employee orientation, performance metrics and reviews, employee relations and engagement, training and development, and all that other fun stuff that sets apart a proactive, talent-focused workplace.  This is a new role, so there’s lots of opportunity for you to give it your own special flavor.

Inside Skinny:

The agency is growing in headcount as well as expanding into new business lines (digital, social, experiential, advertising) — and the president has a track record in successfully accomplishing this type of growth.  So get ready for a fun and wild ride that has a high potential for greatness.

Net-Net:

If you love building teams and organizations and working for fun, smart people who like to get the job done, then this is the perfect place for you.
