Senior Product Manager

This Hired Guns client is a pivotal player in the financial world that’s embarking on a top-to-bottom rethink and redesign of a whole fleet of sites, and they need a Senior Product Manager who can think as big as they do. If you have high-level product management experience, team leadership skills, and an appetite for start-up excitement within a stable yet growth-oriented mother ship, let’s talk!

Gun Profile
Don’t let the word “financial” fool you — this gig doesn’t require deep financial expertise. Instead, they’re looking for a background in strong functional product management with a focus on content and media, Agile product development expertise, and a lot of experience working with user interface designers. Show us that you’re a get-stuff-done person who’s very use-case oriented and keen on documentation. More than a whiteboard strategist, you have the capacity to think big and then execute. And most importantly, you have a bias toward action.

Collaboration is the name of the game with this client, and your history of forging strong relationships with IT and creative resources, along with clients and other stakeholders, will be crucial. You have significant experience managing direct reports and coordinating large project teams and can present complex issues to senior executives effectively and eloquently.

Nitty Gritty
As Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the vision, experience, planning, execution, and management of a broad suite of products. You will create and implement a highly detailed product development road map of all sites and online products that will enable you to lead the product team in executing on immediate market needs rapidly while simultaneously planning for the next phase (and the next …)

You’ll be expected to bring the wisdom, creativity, and courage to chart the course and steer the ship. You will figure out long-term B2B and B2C product strategies that expand the institution’s market reach and leadership. Before you go thinking you’ve heard this all before, let us reassure you that there is strong senior sponsorship for significant change across the whole product suite. Yes, you’ll be bucking tradition and blasting through barriers, but you’ll be doing it with the full support of top management.

Inside Skinny
Do you have experience in both a start-up environment and the corporate world? Awesome. A track record in the online media space? Huge. Exposure to both B2B and consumer Web spaces? We’re drooling.

Net-Net
Come and lead a crack product team and create a whole new Web experience that will make a material impact on the business and brand of a venerable institution that has remained at the forefront of finance and technology through constant reinvention.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, creed, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, marital status, disability, or any other status protected by applicable law.
